Talend, the global integration software leader, and IT consulting firm cimt ag, today announced considerable momentum, with a particular focus on migrating Informatica projects to Talend. Celebrating four years of successful collaboration, Talend and cimt ag primarily collaborate on data integration and big data projects and have already successfully executed on more than 20 Talend engagements, including companies such as Groupon and mobile.de. As a Platinum Partner, cimt ag is also expanding the reach of its alliance from German-speaking countries into The Netherlands.
“Our partnership with Talend has proven to be a resounding success. We work closely together on projects and also help shape software development – which would be unthinkable with a proprietary vendor,” reports Stefan Mann, founder and Member of the Executive Board of cimt ag. “Companies are increasingly choosing the flexibility and predictability that Talend offers. We anticipate the greatest growth occurring with companies moving away from proprietary integration solutions such as Informatica and Oracle -- areas where we have deep expertise and can execute on rapidly.”
Migrating from legacy integration platforms to Talend
With most cimt ag projects, Talend has initially been deployed as a complement to existing integration software. However, many customers are demonstrating increased interest in a full transition to Talend, including a major mail order company in Germany which is currently replacing existing Informatica with Talend Enterprise Data Integration.
When asked why they made the transition to Talend, customers cite key drivers such as having the confidence that they are investing in the future with Talend. In addition, while building on a platform that can be tailored perfectly to their needs, Talend specifically brings them:
- Higher flexibility and ease of operation
- Faster development cycles
- Ability to network with the Talend community
- Predictability of future costs
- Adaptability of Talend that makes the transition a simple process
“cimt ag is a valuable partner for us. The company has a wealth of expertise in enterprise projects as well as specialist know-how in key areas such as IBM, SAP and Oracle,” states Francois Chiche, Vice President Channel and Alliances at Talend. “In addition to conventional projects, we aim to work with cimt ag on transitioning proprietary solutions such as Informatica, as well as a growing share of SAP projects, where the demand for data integration and big data services is especially high. We look forward to building on our close relationship with cimt ag in Germany and expanding our business in The Netherlands, now that cimt has achieved Talend reseller and partner status there.”
cimt ag currently has ten Talend-certified employees. Due to the strong growth in Talend projects, the company plans to train and certify a further seven people.
